It is about to get spooky in the Treasure Valley! There are so many ways to celebrate Halloween in Boise, we have compiled a few of our favorites for you to review.
Go for a Run
Exercise is not probably the first activity that comes to mind when you think of Halloween, but the YMCA’s Virtual Halloween Monster Mile and Freaky 5K is a fun costume run. All participants receive a glow-in-the-dark t-shirt and a medal.
JUMP or Treat
Jack’s Urban Meeting Place (JUMP) is hosting a magical trick-or-treat event at its unique space on Saturday, October 23rd from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Deck yourself out in your costume and tour the Wacky World of Wonder with giant inflatables and imaginative decor. Treats and treasures will be available for younger visitors.
Explore the Metaphysical
Feeling a little witchy? Then you will want to visit Tea and Tarot – A Metaphysical Bazaar at the Lounge at the End of the World. Shop until you drop at the bazaar on Saturday, October 24th from 12 PM to 7 PM. Local business vendors and psychic and Tarot readers will be in attendance.
Take a Stroll
The Idaho Botanical Garden’s Fall Harvest is a tradition in Boise. Attendees can wander along the Scarecrow Stroll and vote on their favorite creation. Live music, beer vendors, food trucks, and a pumpkin patch add to the festivities.
Drive Through a Haunted House
Do not even bother getting out of your car, this haunted house is a drive-through! Bluebird Express gets very spooky this time of year but it is all for a good cause. Vehicles will make their way through the Haunted Tunnel of Terror where they will receive a fright and a car wash. All proceeds benefit Bustin Out of Boise. The event is on October 29th and 30th from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Of course, you have to go trick or treating! Not all of Harrison Boulevard may be open for trick or treating this year, with residents allowed to choose how they want to celebrate. However, there are numerous trunk or treats in the Treasure Valley to guarantee you do not run low on candy. Visit this link to view more, or do a quick Google search to find the one closest to you.
Happy Halloween from us to you! We hope you have a spooktacular October 31st.
