Tacos are an easy food for the entire family thanks to their different fillings and ease of eating. The Treasure Valley is full of taco places, here are our top five picks for you to try out. These are not ranked in any particular order, they are all amazing in their own way!
Garnacha Que Apapacha (Nampa)
Garnacha Que Apapacha in Nampa is an excellent birrieria food truck. The truck offers quesabirria tacos, pizzabirria, and garnachos, to name a few. If you are coming from Boise, you can call with your order so it is ready by the time you get there. The food truck is parked at 215 1st Ave. S. in Nampa. You can find their hours on their Facebook page.
Amano (Caldwell)
Amano means “by hand” and everything is made just that way at the restaurant. If you are looking for a full dining experience and more of a gourmet taco, this is the place for you. The menu shows the owner’s influences of Southern California, Michoacan, and Oaxacan-style Mexican food. Amano is located at 702 Main Street in Caldwell. The menu is available on their website and you can order to-go online as well.
Pantera Market #2 (Nampa)
Pantera Market #2 is located in Nampa right off the Franklin and I-84 exit. The tacos come with house-made salsa and there are a variety of tacos for you to choose from.
If you’re not in the mood for tacos, they also offer burritos, tortas, and quesadillas, as well as Menudo on the weekends. Pantera Market #2 is located at 1802 N. Franklin Boulevard in Nampa and is also on Grubhub for delivery.
The Funky Taco (Boise)
Another higher-class taco place but still absolutely delicious. The Funky Taco is in downtown Boise and is far from the traditional taco. Each order comes with two huge tacos, so come with an appetite. There are some vegan and dairy-free options, so there is something for everyone at The Funky Taco. Don’t miss their creamed corn side.
You can order online and also make a reservation for dinner on The Funky Taco website.
Calle 75 Street Tacos (Boise & Meridian)
Calle 75 Street Tacos has two locations in the Treasure Valley, one in downtown Boise and one in the Village at Meridian. The corn tortillas are made from scratch through a process called nixtamalization. The flavors are a result of a commitment to tradition and mastery of science. You can order tacos from both locations online and the dining rooms are open for you to enjoy tacos onsite.
